Fashion’s Night Out- Veselka

After my time at the Patricia Field boutique , I headed to Vesleka for a multi-media art show curated by Patricia Field herself! I really liked the art and the environment everyone was super chill.

Ivy & Blu Maggie Boutique

It’s summertime (which also means it’s wedding season)! About everyone I know is getting married so I’ll be needing a gaggle of dresses to get to through the season.

Generally, I don’t double up on my dresses, if I wear it to one wedding, I won’t be wearing it to another. So I need a lot of dresses that are both fabulous and affordable.

I found a wonderful website that fits the bill for what I am looking for in a dress. To be honest, I don’t know much about this boutique but if their customer service, and blogger appreciation is as fabulous as their dresses are, then I am all in! I would also love to collaborate with them or do an interview because I really think they deserve some more spotlight!

Anyway, here are my picks from Ivy and Blu Maggie Boutique (be sure to follow them on Twitter @ivyandblu)

1. The Amber Dress

2. The Casey Peplum Dress

3. Lori Floral Print Sheath

4. Rihanna Mirror Print Dress

Pantone Color of the Year: Emerald

This year’s Pantone Color of the Year can be a little difficult to pull off. The bold and refreshing jewel tone can be worn as a daring dress but can also be as simple as a pop of color to a blah outfit. Too much is not always a good thing and can leave an ensemble looking forced and dare I say, tacky.

Here are my picks to add a little emerald into your life

1. Layton Hardshell Case for iPhone 5 by Tory Burch ($50.00)

2. Colored Crop Jean Brights by Free People ($39.99)

4. Woven Sheath Dress with Belt  by Forever21 ($29.80)

Pantora by Andrea Pitter

I spent the last week bemoaning the cold weather but after a much-needed outing with some friends, I found myself excited for fall. With sheer luck, I found Pantora by Andrea Pitter. Her line is filled with fall colors, sleek designs and new textures. Her line is the perfect blend of minimalist and modern prints.

I must admit three of her pieces had me quite star struck. With fairly affordable price points and fabulous pieces that are not overdone, I am sure you will love her too!

The Best Conditioner for Natural Hair

This conditioner is uh-mazing! Seriously, better than the Trader Joe’s Nourish Spa conditioner, wayyyyyy better than the Giovanni moisture conditioner. Okay so here’s the rundown:

They say:

  • Formulated for daily use
  • Whenever Conditioner restores the hair’s vitality and replenishes lost nutrients
  • The natural and organic botanicals and pure essential oils nourish and strengthen hair while improving manageability, diminishing tangles and split ends, leaving your locks flexible, full and healthier than ever
  • The scent-uous aromatherapeutic essential oil blend will leave you uplifted and exhilarated.

I say:

  • My hair felt like butter during my cowash, and my curls popped and detangling was a breeze
  • After the wash, my hair remained moisturize without the feel of buildup
  • The conditioner smelled like a lime popsicle! Yummy!
  • 32 ounces for 11 bucks. Not bad at all.
  • Can be used as a styler perhaps for wash n gos but I like it best as a conditioner or as a leave-in
